I. Panic Attacks and Wild Mustangs
I always notice when a panic attack is coming but,
I can never stop it from arriving
on the backs of a herd of black mustangs
whose hooves thunder in the distance and
my heart matches their pace
so I’ll know that they’ll be here soon
and trample me to death.
